Peggy Sue gets a package.

Peggy Sue is very excited - she has just received her first ever parcel in the post!

Wow! For Me?

Henry and Junior watch her excitement.

Henry holds one of the flaps of the box down as Peggy Sue opens it.

She rummages in the polystyrene shapes until she finds a bubble wrapped packaged

This is very well wrapped!  She says.

Peggy Sue takes the bubble wrap off to expose some tissue paper.

This is fun, I wonder what is inside?

The boys watch on....they can't quite believe what they see....

Ooh....

Oooohhhh!

Oooh....

It is not often that Peggy Sue is at a loss for words!

Out of the package pops....

A lion!

He looks up at Peggy Sue

You are adorable!  She says.

The boys are quite stunned at Peggy Sue's fearlessness

The Lion looks up at Peggy Sue - it is as if he is saying

'Love me please'

I don't think there is going to be any doubt about Peggy Sue loving her lion!

What are you going to call him Peggy Sue?  Henry asks.

Leo of course.  Peggy Sue replies.

Leo the Lion is the King of the Jungle
You can hear him roar...  she starts singing a song.

A Catch Up....

A little bit of a 'catch up' post of doll goings on over the last couple of weeks.

Just before Christmas we had a friend come round.  She brought Addison round to play with Peggy Sue and Hazel - the girls enjoyed playing snakes and ladders.

Her lad joined the Schoeys on their shelf and enjoyed chatting with them.

Hazel (yes my gorgeous wooden Bleuette finally got a name!) enjoyed an outing and a visit with the Christmas Polar bear who was quite taken with her.

He enjoys a tickle under his chin.

Some Schoenhut animals arrived Christmas Day....

Wren seems to be very pleased....she has a horse of her own!  Yes it was supposed to be for the Schoey kids, but seems Wren had other ideas....

Advent 2015 - Day Twenty One

The Advent posts are over on my Sewing for Sasha Blog but I thought today's should be posted here as well as they feature little Oliver William.

Hi Henry, I was wondering if Oliver William could open the Advent window today?  Peggy Sue asks.

Absolutely.  Henry replies.

Oliver, you need to find the little door with the number 21 on it.  That is a two and a one together.  Peggy Sue explains.

Here it is!  Oliver William says as he spots it.

Yes, that is right.  Peggy Sue says.

Open it up.

Oliver William opens the little door and to his delight sees a treasure chest inside.

Wowee, that is neat!  Henry says.

A treasure chest!  What fun.  Peggy Sue agrees as Oliver William holds it for them both to see.

Pop it down on the little scene Oliver.  Peggy Sue says.  Perhaps over there.

Oliver William kneels down....

Holding the chest ever so carefully.

There, is that okay?  He asks.

Just perfect.  Henry tells him.

I wonder if there is any treasure in it? Oliver William asks.

That will probably come in another window.  Henry replies.

Who is going to open that?  Oliver asks Henry.

I think it will be Junior.  Henry tells him.

Junior?  Peggy Sue asks?  You mean he is coming to visit?

Yes, tomorrow.  Henry says.  He is even going to be able to stay a while.

Wow, fantastic!  Peggy Sue says.  She explains to little Oliver William that Junior lives with a friend of hers.

They are all excited about having a visitor come and stay for a while.

The Right for Equality!

Peggy Sue takes things very seriously....she has been most distressed recently. She has recently given a speech.

"Have you heard the news? It is simply most terrible!

Our friends, the Gollys are receiving a bad press and being unfairly accused of crimes they haven't committed. They have been labelled racist or extreme! How can that be possible? It is people responsible for these issues and beliefs, not us.

Something must be done to put an end to this extreme Gollyaphobia. Let us unite and protect our friends from prejudice and show them our acceptance and love.

Let us show people that Gollys are just like any other toy regardless of their size, shape, maker and colour, be it black, white, red, yellow, purple or green, with one eye or three, with sticky up hair or none, these are toys just like the rest of us - made to be enjoyed, to be loved and cuddled, to bring laughter, joy, fun and companionship.

Let us fight for Equality for Gollys - the right for them to be treated like any other toy.

Remember toys aren't responsible for acts of atrocity or racism...PEOPLE are.

My friends we MUST UNITE and STOP the spread of Gollyaphobia and Gollyism that is hitting our land."
