Haru - Japanese Boy Doll

Unfortunately I don't know anything about this bisque/porcelain Japanese Boy.  I can't even remember when or where I got him from.  I have no idea of his age, I doubt he is 'old'.  He has a close fitting undergarment/vest type thing that is sewn on.  His fingernails are daintily painted.

I have given him the Japanese Boy's name Haru which means 'Born in the Spring'

Heartstrings Tommy

Heartstrings 'Snips and Snails' Tommy, otherwise known as Thomas is a sweet little lad and came to live here at Rose Cottage in around 2012/13.  He is in the 2012 Collection 'Snips & Snails and Puppy Dog Tails - that's what little boys are made of'.  He is a limited edition of 51 and is a Dianna Effner Sculpt.  Tommy is 8 1/4 inches tall.  He is a real cutie and rather irresistible with his blue/grey eyes and blonde hair and slightly mischievous smile.  He came wearing his khaki cargo pants, striped green, rust, orange & cream t shirt, green hoodie and hiking boots designed and made by Jo Flitton.

He brought with him his little bear whom he is rarely seen without.

A very sweet boy who reminds me very much of my older son when he was very young.

Ernest - PIMAR Boy Doll

This rather sweet little boy is I believe is either made from celluloid or a hard plastic.  He has a different feel to him than the Schildkrot boy.  He is quite a hard type of material and is jointed/strung together.  He is marked on the back of his head with an S and PIMAR on his back.  I haven't been able to find anymore information about him, but I am guessing he dates from the early 1940s to 1950s. His outfit is sewn on him and his shoes and socks are painted on.

I call him Ernest.

Wilhelm - Schildkrot Austrian Boy

The third boy in my 'Boy Series' is this 1950s Celluloid Schildkrot 'Austrian (?) lad.

He has the Turtle Mark on the back of his head and the number 29
He is 11 inches tall and comes in his complete Felt outfit, socks and shoes.

t

He goes by the name Wilhelm.  He is rather a sweet lad and in very good condition for his age, he makes a nice addition to my collection.

Steve Boy Scout

Next up in the Male/Boy Doll series is this Boy Scout who I bought years ago.  He is 'Steve Scout Action Figure in Official Uniform' which was why I bought him as my oldest son was a boy scout and his name is Steven!

He was made by Kenner in 1974 and is 9 inches tall.   He has jointed arms, elbows, wrists, knees and ankles and a swivel waist.

He is marked on his back:
1974 GMFGI

KENNER PROD
CIN'TI.OHIO 45202
NO. 7000

Made in Hong Kong.

He has his complete outfit - with perhaps the woggle for his scarf missing.

Fonzie Action Doll

I thought I would do a series of posts on the even dates of this month featuring my male dolls.  I can revisit those I have collected over the years and also ascertain if they are to stay or not.

First up is Fonzie.  Otherwise known as Arthur 'Fonzie' Fonzarelli from the 1970s TV show 'Happy days'. I remember watching 'Happy Days'  as a child!

He is 8 inches tall and has a lever on his back to press down and he then raises his arms to give a thumbs up.  He is marked on the back of his neck:  1976 Paramount Picture Corporation.
:
On his back:
Mego Corp 1976
Patent Pending
Made in Hong Kong.

As far as I am aware he has his complete outfit which consists of his boots, jeans, white t shirt and black leather jacket.

Introducing the Makie Lad

Now when I said I had no will power the other day.....I meant it!  When I saw this lad on the Makies website, I knew he was asking to come home!  I do have a couple of boys designed, but this one was ready made and he called out to me, although hasn't revealed his name yet...he said he is waiting until he gets some 'decent duds' before he will tell me it.

His arrival box.

Just before he was released.

Saying hi!

Slightly apprehensive look...or a 'do I have to do the photo thing' look.

Found a pair of trainers that he likes better than the black shoes he arrived wearing.

Cool, a skateboard!  This meets with his approval.

Definitely a smile there!

He might be having a change of colour of eyes....

Added:

His eyes have been changed from brown to grey - although they look blue!

Sitting by the pond.

Found the New Zealand Rugby shirt and made him a pair of jeans.

Sweater fits well too.
