A warm day, strong arms and a walk in the sunshine

Peggy Sue is feeling very happy as she can now hold her hands up whenever she wants.  Before they used to flop down, but with a bit of leather cut to the shape of her 'armholes' this has made them more firm so they no longer fall down.  She feels like she is a new girl!

She couldn't help but dance around in glee...

It's a good thing that today has been mild! I really must get on with knitting her vest.

Later on she was found outside in the garden with her pram

She does enjoy taking her friends for a walk.

The day was just perfect for it.  In her pram she has Little Owen, Violet and Alice her rag dog snuggled in the back.

Preparing Peggy Sue's Wardrobe for Autumn/Winter

In February of this year I wrote a post on Peggy Sue's wardrobe and what she has to wear.

While her summer clothes has been added to, her winter wardrobe remains much the same.

Essential for the cold days this purple winter hat and coat is just perfect and a favourite of Peggy Sue's.  I think it might be quite nice to add mittens and a scarf to this.

A purple knit dress which looks great under the coat.

A favourite of Peggy Sue's (and mine!) is this lovely knitted dress.  I would quite like to make another of these in another colour scheme.

Blue & Grey striped linen dress which matches one that Anne-Marie has.

Floral dress - Peggy Sue and I have both reached the same conclusion that we don't like this one on her so it will go.

Laura Ashley Needle cord dress (originally made for Sasha) A dress for 'good' with its little matching broach.

Hooded cardigan that can be used with the dress above.

Grey dress - can change the ribbons on this.

Poncho to go with the grey dress - must add tassels to this,

Two cardigans.  The blue goes with her school uniform and would also go with her grey dress.

The red will go with her grey dress.

Not photographed are her tights - black, white and multicoloured stripes.
Three pairs of shoes, black, cream and purple.

I think Peggy Sue is almost set for the colder months that seem to be upon us already!

What I would like to make to complete her Autumn/Winter wardrobe is:

Scarf & Mittens
Undergarments - panties and vest
Play clothes - trousers or dungarees with a long sleeve top.
A long sleeve knitted dress
A long sleeve cotton dress to replace the brown floral dress
Add tassels to poncho.

Peggy Sue tells Little Owen about School.

Peggy Sue is telling Little Owen all about her first few days at school

Owen listens attentively, asking the odd question.

'So your teacher is a PIG?  AND she is PINK?'  He asks incredulously!

Well yes she is, funny though, you forget about it after a while... Peggy Sue tells Little Owen.

She does lots of singing in class as well.  Sometimes it is good, but sometimes it is a little annoying.

She goes like this....La la, di dah di dah, la la laaaaaa  We have to be careful not to giggle or hold our hands over our ears, even though sometimes I want to.

Oh and you will never guess!  Peggy Sue says to Owen.

What?  Asks Little Owen.

Miss Prim is a teacher!  Gasps Peggy Sue excitedly.

You're kidding!  Owen replies...

I kid you not!  She is our Needlework and Eti..Etiquiet I mean Etiquette teacher!  Peggy Sue imparts this news with relish!

She's not so bad at school though...better than her being home here with us.

That is for sure, thinks Owen to himself.

It is nice being home with you.  You understand me, sighs Peggy Sue.

Jacob & Monkey

Jacob doesn't get much play time and has been somewhat forgotten about over the last few months, just hanging about on the book shelf.  Still he had plenty to read though.

He was surprised to see all the apples on the apple tree today and is showing me a large apple he would like to eat.

He is noticing the changes in the leaves...

...and sits down to have a think about all that is happening around him

Monkey Days:
