No Will Power!

So I have absolutely no will power whatsoever...although in my defence, I did hold off for three visits before I succumbed and went back for the fourth time.  Of course by this time there was less choice...which in a way was good.  By the third time I went back to see them there were only two Ashlyn dolls left, some Kendall dolls and I think two Emerson dolls.  Of course when I decided I just HAD to have one, there was only one Ashlyn left which made my decision so much easier.

Her box.

Well protected inside the box

She has a hair net on her hair to keep it tidy.

I like the way these dolls are packaged as they are easy to remove.

Freed from the box.

She has a pretty little face and I love the smattering of freckles.

Out in the garden she watches our Sheltie try to photobomb the picture!

Waving hello.  Actually this arm was VERY stiff and almost unmovable, so hoping it will loosen up a little over time.

Wearing a little pair of white shoes I had tucked away.

I couldn't wait to knit her a Christmas dress.

All very seasonal now.  I just LOVE her little knees, they are so cute.

I have called her Noelle.  (I know very original for this time of year!)

My group of girls all in their Christmas dresses I have knitted for them.

An extra girl has sneaked into the picture...my Sasha girl Ziva, thought she should join them as well as she too has a hand knitted Christmas dress.

Four Christmas projects completed.

Knitting for these smaller dolls is quite quick, especially as the patterns become more familiar, so as a result I am making very good progress on my Christmas project.

Clara my Corolle Les Cheries now has a Christmas dress, same style as H4H Shola.

Chrissy has her own dress now.

Little Hazel also has a Christmas dress.

All four girls together are looking quite festive!

Christmas Projects

Although I have been very busy knitting and sewing of late, most of the clothes have been made for either my Etsy shop or orders.  As a result my dolls get to wear clothes briefly for modelling only to have the dress whipped off them and they miss out!

Now it is time to spend the last couple of weeks before Christmas to make them some clothes of their own.  I have decided I would quite like to focus on just a few dolls and make them a Christmas outfit each.

Tilly (Matilda, A Girl for All Time) of course got a dress the other week which will be her Christmas dress as she looks so elegant in it, and it is red 😊.

Yesterday I started a dress for the new Hearts for Hearts girl Shola (not sure if I will rename her yet) and I finished that today.  I photographed her before I managed to find her a more suitable pair of shoes to match her dress.

I had knitted a dress in the same yarn that Chrissy (my American Girl doll) modelled a couple of weeks ago, but that sold, so I am going to make her one to keep.  I have started that.

Hazel (wooden Bleuette) and Clara (Les Cheries) are also next on the list.  After that I am not sure.  Peggy Sue has already had her Christmas dress made for her and all the Sasha girls already have Christmas dresses, made over the years.

Who else has Christmas projects they have in mind or are working on?

Friendships & Knitting

New friendships are being made ...

Romeo declared his love for Raggedy Ann, and was thrilled to learn she had 'I love you' written on her heart...although of course she was too shy to show him, which of course she shouldn't.

Peggy Sue had lots to say while Raggedy Ann listened on with infinite patience.

Later on I think Peggy Sue had worn herself out and was seen reclining on her Chase Lounge

With the colder weather coming Peggy Sue was delighted with her newly knitted long cardigan.

She declared it just perfect and thought the colour suited her well.

Today Raggedy Ann and Peggy Sue continued their discussion, with Raggedy Ann taking the lead this time.  Peggy Sue listened on in fascination.

Not long later Peggy Sue was seen wandering in the garden...she looked like she was on a mission...

She stopped for a while and agreed to have her photo taken wearing her newly knitted 'hounds tooth' skirt.

Before long though...

She wanted to go back and listen to more of Raggedy Ann's tales.

New Dresses for Little Miss Perfekta

Her wardrobe is growing...

Three little dresses in a row

Pale yellow

Burgundy red.

Now six.... almost one for each day of the week.

Bright sunshine yellow.

Sunday, her seventh knitted dress and matching panties was finished.  This time it is a purple colour.

She seems pretty happy with it.

Now to work on shoes!  Much more difficult.

The beginnings of Little Miss Perfekta's wardrobe.

Last night I did some knitting for Little Miss Perfekta

I knitted her a little dress with some lovely NZ lace weight wool

She needed a pair of underwear so I made up this pattern as I knitted.

This little simple green dress was made for her yesterday.

This is a little nightgown, also made yesterday.

A little purple felt dress made this morning.

She was also seen spotted talking to Frog..this morning...

I wonder what they were talking about?!

A little knitted dress

I knitted a little dress for Hazel the other day.  I think she looks really cute in it.

The wool is one of my lovely New Zealand yarns, a Merino, possom, alpaca mix so very soft.
