My Corolle Les Cheries doll Chloe came wearing a ballet outfit and has only had one knitted dress made for her until today... I have been putting off sewing something for her as I had no patterns her size and knew I would have to draft one for her...not always my strong point! Anyway as I didn't have any quilts to work on at quilting group today I thought I would try drafting a pattern and making her a simple dress. Success!
I do like this classic style of dress on young girl dolls, they look so sweet in them I think.
I have just finished a knitted hooded cardigan for her and will start a skirt for her this evening.
Shame she doesn't have any shoes, and I'm not sure where to get any her size!
She is lovely and her new dress looks great on her.
ReplyDeleteI have been wanting to get some of these dolls for awhile. I have several in my watch list all the time. I know my granddaughter would probably take them from me if I get any. LOL!
I've thought about getting one of the Corolle Les Cheries dolls, from time to time. I think they are very similar in size to the Hearts for Hearts dolls. Here's a link to a site with a bunch of sewing patterns (I think Connie shared it with the Companion Doll group a while back): http://www.stitchinforkids.org/Patterns.html
ReplyDeleteI wish I could knit like you can!
do you have pattern for this lovely dress? Would love to make it for my daughter...
ReplyDeleteWhich dress the knitted or the sewn?
