Outdoors in September - Two: Changes in nature

After a terrible few days weather wise and a day of continous rain yesterday it was good to be able to get out in the garden today.

The miracles of nature never cease to amaze when we discovered these fungi that had come up overnight.

Are they edible?

I am not sure, so best to err on the side of caution I think.

Look the leaves are also changing colour.

Isn't this leaf so pretty?

  1. Beautiful photos...she holds the leaf so nicely. What a precious doll. I'm glad to hear the weather has been getting nicer for you. I've heard it's been unseasonably cold and wet this summer in the UK. Hopefully you will have a nicer Autumn!

    1. Our summer has indeed been dreadful, or rather non-existent! Hopefully Autumn will be nicer...although this is only the first good day we have had in a while.

I am especially enjoying this sweet girl. What a difference a new wig and dress make!

  2. Is it strange to say that I love the look of the fungi? It looks like something that could be sculpted by an artist, but that's just the beauty of nature, isn't it?

    1. Not at all strange, I love the look of them as well...in fact a couple of years ago I went out every day for several months and photographed different ones :-)
