Candy Stripes Outfit complete and a mixed group photo.

I finished the rest of Chrissy's Candy Stripes outfit the other day, and I think she looks really lovely in it.

Chrissy seems very happy it as well.

I have started another, but haven't made a lot of progress yet, will hopefully get some more done this evening.

I thought I would take a photo of the little group that sit on the corner of my computer table.

A right mixed group they are!

Percival goes for a ride in the car

Yesterday we had to go on a bit of a journey in the car and Percival wanted to come along.  As Henry had decided to stay at home I said it was okay for Percival to travel with us as long as he behaved.  Well as he likes thinking a lot, I didn't think he would be too much trouble.

He sits back comfortably to begin the journey and gets himself in thinking mode.

I'm not sure if that position is such a good idea Percival.  What?  It helps you think better?  Well if you say so.

Image

Oops!  Now I thought that might happen when we turned a corner.

Image

Hi, I can see you!   Do that again!  He calls out.

Now that looks like a safer position.

Hitty has her own blog and a new dress!

Hitty has a new dress to protect her modesty.  I have set up a new blog  just for her over here.  I have returned to  blogspot  for this new blog as I am struggling quite a bit with the layout of wordpress and uploading photos etc... While in some ways it seems simple, in other ways I find it more difficult getting the photos in the right order and just getting used to all the differences.  I guess it is simply a case of not liking change too much.  Anyway Hitty has made her first blog post, so if you'd like to read it pop on over and say hi!

I will keep using this one for the rest of my doll companions, and continue to keep Sasha/Gregor and Hitty to their own separate blogs.

My first Hitty!

My first Hitty arrived today.  She travelled all the way from Argentina in a lovely box.  Oh dear though, she needs finishing!  I'm not renowned for being very good with a paintbrush so this could be interesting.  Not that I know where to start, what to do or even what to use!  Watch this space...  In the meantime I need to think of a name for her.

Of course her name might come once she starts to evolve and develop...who knows?!

A breath of fresh air for Percival

I'm feeling really out of sorts at the moment and have for some time really.  Lacking in motivation and very lethargic.  Even my dolls aren't inspiring me like they usually do.  Still I decided that Percival and I ought to get to know each other a bit better.  He has been very quiet as well lately just sitting, thinking and observing, so I thought he ought to go outside and get a breath of fresh air while it wasn't raining.  Of course we have the constant roar of the M25 which isn't helping at all at the moment, it is really getting to me.

ImagePercival spied the bird feeder and thought he would try a spot of climbing.

Something seems to be interesting him

His wild hair blowing in the breeze!

Whee, look at me...

Quite the poser he has turned out to be.

Must make him some clothes though!

Candy Stripes

Chrissy is getting the attention at the moment, and I finished a second knitted outfit for her today, a dress 'Candy Stripes'.  Again this is part of August's KAL.  I still have the bag and hat to make which I will make a start on this evening.  I am really liking her colouring.  On one of the AG groups I belong to, many have said she isn't very photogenic, but I think she is.

Image

I love the colours I chose for this dress and think they suit her well.

Image

Her 'meet' shoes also go with the dress well.

ImageThe pale yellow adds a nice contrast to the violet/purple.

Image

I think she looks pretty happy with it on a whole.  Of course I have been asked to hurry up and finish the matching bag and hat!

Red Splash!

I belong to several doll knitting groups on Ravelry and enjoy taking part in the KAL (Knit A Longs)  I have finally finished the main part of July's KAL a coat, pattern by Astrid Aesoey.  I still need to make a hat and a bag, but they can wait as August's KAL has started and I am looking forward to it.

Chrissy likes the Lady bird buttons.

Now she could have done with matching shoes, but demanded to model the coat straight away without any thought of what else she was wearing.

A little cheeky look!
