New Year's Eve Pyjama Party!

What am I going to do?  Wails Peggy Sue.  There just isn't enough room in my bedroom for a pyjama party!

The girls look at the usually unflappable Peggy Sue.

Why don't we get the quilts down from up there?  Suggests Astrid.  We can then take them to the other room and put them all on the floor for people to sit and lie on.

Peggy turns round to look at the quilts on top of her wardrobe.

That's a good idea!  Stevie says.

Right oh.  Peggy Sue says as she starts to climb on her bed.

Careful Peggy Sue!  Stevie says.

I will be.  I've done this before.  Peggy Sue tells the girls.

She reaches up to the top of her wardrobe.

Let me help you.  Stevie says as she reaches up to help Peggy Sue get the quilts down.

Got them!

They are heavier than they look.  She says as she holds them in her arms.

All the girls take a quilt each and Little Owen folds up the bed quilt, although he is fairly certain he isn't going to be able to carry it!

A little later with some help from her friends and Little Owen...

This should be okay don't you think?  She asks Stevie.

Of course!  Stevie answers.

They go off to get some toys and things.

This should be enough to keep us busy.

Sure looks like plenty. The girls agree.

We've got puppets, books, blocks, dominoes, cards, radio and of course we will need to get some snacks later.

Do you think we need anything else?  Peggy Sue asks.

I am sure that will be fine.  Stevie and Astrid say.

Who is coming? Stevie asks.

Henry is bringing the new boy Donny and Rory.  Chrissy said she will come but she is not sure if any of her friends can come except perhaps Nisha. Peggy Sue answers.

Sounds good!  Astrid says.  Could Edith not make it?
No, she had to stay in as they were having family to visit.  Peggy Sue tells her.

Later on the party starts...

They seem to be in the full swing of things.

Peggy Sue is of course stuffing her face  I mean eating a cake.

Rory is already starting to feel tired. He has brought some of his froggy friends with him.

I wonder if they will still be awake at mid-night?!

No Will Power!

So I have absolutely no will power whatsoever...although in my defence, I did hold off for three visits before I succumbed and went back for the fourth time.  Of course by this time there was less choice...which in a way was good.  By the third time I went back to see them there were only two Ashlyn dolls left, some Kendall dolls and I think two Emerson dolls.  Of course when I decided I just HAD to have one, there was only one Ashlyn left which made my decision so much easier.

Her box.

Well protected inside the box

She has a hair net on her hair to keep it tidy.

I like the way these dolls are packaged as they are easy to remove.

Freed from the box.

She has a pretty little face and I love the smattering of freckles.

Out in the garden she watches our Sheltie try to photobomb the picture!

Waving hello.  Actually this arm was VERY stiff and almost unmovable, so hoping it will loosen up a little over time.

Wearing a little pair of white shoes I had tucked away.

I couldn't wait to knit her a Christmas dress.

All very seasonal now.  I just LOVE her little knees, they are so cute.

I have called her Noelle.  (I know very original for this time of year!)

My group of girls all in their Christmas dresses I have knitted for them.

An extra girl has sneaked into the picture...my Sasha girl Ziva, thought she should join them as well as she too has a hand knitted Christmas dress.

Four Christmas projects completed.

Knitting for these smaller dolls is quite quick, especially as the patterns become more familiar, so as a result I am making very good progress on my Christmas project.

Clara my Corolle Les Cheries now has a Christmas dress, same style as H4H Shola.

Chrissy has her own dress now.

Little Hazel also has a Christmas dress.

All four girls together are looking quite festive!

Peggy Sue's Birthday Party!

Peggy Sue's friend Everlee arrived in the morning...

Happy Birthday Peggy Sue.  Everlee said as she handed over a present.

Ooh, thank you!  Peggy Sue says.

Peggy Sits down to read the little card and open her present.

Oh wow!  She says.

Did you make this all by yourself Everlee?  She asks.

Yes.  Replies Everlee.

You are very clever!  Peggy Sue says.

Look, this can go over my bed.

Everyone wants Sweet Dreams!

Everlee's Mum then took us to 'My Doll Boutique'

A surprise was in store for Peggy Sue there.

A little birthday tea.

Peggy Sue meets a new friend who gives her a bunch of flowers and some little gifts.

Isn't it all so pretty?  Peggy Sue says.

Happy Birthday Peggy Sue!

Thank you!

A lovely morning tea.

They go back home...

Some decorations have been put up and the table is all set.  Henry has brought out his birthday cake.

The all sing 'Happy Birthday' to Peggy Sue

Blow out the candles!

Peggy Sue takes a deep breath

and blows out all the candles.

They sit down to eat some donuts, after all, cakes and donuts is what birthday parties are all about surely?  Chrissy pours the tea...

Have you eaten your donut already Maddison?

Yummy cake!

Maddison has a cup of tea to wash down the donut.

They enjoy eating their donuts and chatting.

Lots of talking and giggling and laughing.

Later...

Peggy Sue shows her friends some of the presents she got.

A lovely vintage hand mirror, a game, and a carousel.

This will be a fun memory game.  Peggy Sue says as she has a practice.

They set the carousel up on the table and watch it spin round.

It has little children sitting on seats.

It whirls round and is such fun to watch.  They played with it for a long time!

What a lovely time they are all having.
