Well my birthday came and went while I was in New Zealand and as such I didn't receive any birthday presents...this didn't worry me too much as I was lucky enough to go there to visit my parents.  My sister cooked a lovely birthday meal for us which was very special indeed.  I wasn't really intending on getting any dolls this year unless something came up on my wish list - and I wasn't going to actively look for any.  Well while having a browse on Evilbay for some American Girl dungarees - I am always hopeful some will become available in the UK, I saw Ivy Ling for sale and well as I have been wanting her for a long time AND she was in the UK I didn't hesitate and as such she is a belated birthday present to myself...  The seller was local so I went and collected her this morning AND had a lovely chat with a fellow doll collector.

Just popping in to say hi!

Not a lot is going on at the moment - or maybe too much, but not doll related things!  Well apart from my current obsession with making things for Hitty Madge of course which can be seen on my blog, Hitty at Rose Cottage.

Poor Peggy Sue is feeling a bit neglected...it seems with the packing up of her room, she has been languishing  quite a bit.  I would quite like to take her with me when I go to visit my parents in New Zealand, but thinking it probably won't be possible, I am already taking Henry, Hitty Madge and Domo Chessie!  Plus with NZ's rules on bringing wood into the country I am not sure how she would fare...probably would have been different had she still been painted.

Just a little bit of colour to brighten an otherwise dreary day.

I was surprised at the size of the two 'new' animals - they are not as big or as sturdy as Hippo. Not sure if this is how they are made now?
