Hospitalised

Nurse Sister Elizabeth has just arrived for the afternoon shift and is checking on her patient.

She is most concerned, she doesn't often have young girls to care for.

How are you feeling?

Poor Anne-Marie is feeling 'terrible' it seems.

Sister Elizabeth tells her she is in the best place and to have a rest before any visitors arrive later in the day.....

Later on Anne-Marie is feeling a little brighter.

She sits up with the help of Sister Elizabeth

Peggy Sue and Norma Jean were most worried about her

Anne-Marie reassures them that she is starting to feel a little better....although she feels quite tired.

The girls decide they better leave after short while as Anne-Marie looks quite pale.

Once the girls have gone, Sister Elizabeth tucks her back into bed and before long Anne-Marie has fallen asleep.

Some sewing and things...

Over the last week or so I have managed to get a little sewing done when I haven't been too sore.

I made this dress for a lady who has an Elizabeth doll.  (I was originally asked to make up a dress that had already been pre-cut out and sewn round the edges...but the fabric wasn't especially nice and the pattern not easy to follow - parts had been 'snipped' before being sewn, and there was also a piece missing.  I did the best I could but was not at all happy with the outcome as I didn't think it a true reflection of my work, so wanted to make her something I was happy with)

I love the style of this dress, it fits so well and suits her beautifully.

I've made a couple of waistcoat/vests for the Makies.

I've tidied up one of the American Girls...I had thought I would sell some, but finding it very difficult to decide who should go and even if I CAN let anyone go....so far it is a big resounding no.

This gorgeous girl is a Pleasant Company Molly.

I also have a new version Molly who seems a bit smaller than this one.  The same but different.

Such beautiful soft long hair.

Pedigree Elizabeth

I thought I would make a dress for my Pedigree Elizabeth today.

She is very pleased with it and I love the fit on her - just perfect.

This dress is made from a pattern especially designed for Elizabeth.

She is now eagerly awaiting some shoes!

This hard plastic doll was made in the 1950s by Pedigree.  She is 'Elizabeth the Dressmaking Doll' and I think she is just lovely.  Compared to my other dolls she is so light!
