Wandering with Wren - Bluebell Glory

There was another girl wandering through the bluebells yesterday...

It was Wren of course!

She too enjoyed sitting for a while and just enjoying nature in all its glory.

A Walk in the Woods

The morning was bright with not a soul in sight and although destined for school, she decided to risk giving it a miss in favour of spending time in the Bluebell Woods, for surely that is more important than being stuck inside...where things can stagnate...no scent to arouse the senses and no natural images to stir the mind and its imagination.

She arrives...

What's that?

She turns to make sure she is not being followed

She listens for a while

It seems it was just the breeze

and so she continues on

She is mindful how she goes to not crush any Bluebells.

Time to just sit and inhale and to enjoy the scent, sight and sound of being...

...surrounded in a sea of blue.

Her journey continues...

...her imagination works overtime.

She rests against the trunk of a tree

feeling grounded

and at one with nature

Time to move on

Another tree to climb..

and sit upon.

Just listening and being

Enjoying her time outside.

Peggy Sue loves Bluebells

Although cold today, we ventured out to Ashridge Estate to see the Bluebells...although perhaps a little early we were not disappointed.

Peggy Sue just loved them and couldn't get enough.

They smell divine!

She had even picked something that would 'match' the colour of the Bluebells.

Aren't they wonderful?

A lovely afternoon out.

A Fine Day for a Walk

It was a windy day today, but we set out for a walk in the woods at Ashridge Estate

It was good to get out for a walk after the Christmas indulgence and to get rid of some of the 'cobwebs'.  Peggy Sue enjoyed walking through the leaves.

She is wearing her fabulous new rain coat made by Barbie, a friend of ours who lives in Arizona.

It is a perfect fit and Peggy Sue loves it.

We walked to the village of Aldbury and went into the Church St John the Baptist.

Peggy Sue was delighted to visit Mary, Joseph and baby Jesus.

She had to be ever so quiet as he was sound asleep.

Aw, sweet Baby Jesus.

The stained glass window was stunning.

We got home just as it started to rain!

Wandering with Wren - Ashridge Estate

Just three photos of Wren's little wander around Ashridge Estate today.

The day was lovely and sunny.

Wren did a bit of location scouting...and thinks this has some great possibilities.

Wren & Nelson rehearse on location...

Nelson and Wren discuss their parts for the upcoming new Scooby movie...

They have come out on location to do some rehearsing.

There have been some reported strange goings on in the woods...and Shaggy and Velma go to investigate

Shaggy tries to be brave....

Velma asks him if he can see anything.

There was nothing down there he tells her

She thinks awhile...sure that there is something going on somewhere.

Ooh er....over there... Shaggy suggests....

Well let's get to it then.  Velma says.

See....Shaggy tells Velma from his vantage point...

We need to check in there!

Okay, well lets go in then.

Velma starts to lead the way

Shaggy insists he goes first as he is after all 'the man'

Argghhhh!  Shaggy yells.

Gotta get outta here....

Velma looks in as Shaggy runs away, not really sure what all the fuss is about...

Really was all that fuss necessary?  She thinks.
