A beautiful spring day at Audley End

Today we visited Audley End and I took my Bluefairy girl with me. (She really does need a name!)

It was the most perfect Spring day, warm and bright and the tulips looked gorgeous.

Funny girl, looks a bit uncertain in this photograph.

She enjoyed some rock climbing.

She was pleased to have a new short sleeve cardigan to wear with her dress.

Wandering with Wren - Audley End

Wren enjoyed a lovely Autumn Day's wander around the grounds of English Heritage Audley End today.

The sky was perfectly blue.

There was hardly anyone around.

It really was quite perfect.

The back of the house

Side view.

After quite a wander Wren and Nelson stopped to rest for a while

Before exploring some more.

Wren was quite fascinated with the succulents growing on the rocks.

She wonders whether she could make some kind of rockery at home.  Nelson thinks it will be quite possible to do.

They admire some of the beautiful flowers.

The pumpkins and gourds are set out to dry out for an Autumn Harvest display.

Nelson and Wren were fascinated by the different shapes and colours.

Wren loves the colour purple and was surprised to see the aubergine.

The looked at the different varieties of apples.

More pretty flowers in the garden.

Wren enjoyed the sunlight, flowers and fresh air!

The water was beautifully clear and Wren enjoyed watching the young swan for a while.

Bottoms up!

All in all a perfect day out.
