A Puzzle for Christmas

Peggy Sue couldn't wait to show her puzzle that she got for Christmas

These little Wentworth Wooden Puzzles are such good quality and fun to do as well as quite challenging!

She empties out the pieces on the little wooden box.

Sits down and starts to put the edge pieces together.

This wasn't quite as easy as it looks as some of the 'edges' are very tiny indeed.

All done, now to start filling it in.

Almost there!

It is taking shape.

Now for the fun part and putting the 'novelty' pieces in.

There is a bird, a pine tree, a snowflake, a sprig of holly and another shape which she wasn't quite sure about.

Almost there.

Just the snowflake to finish.

There, all done.

Ta da!  What do you think?

Such a sweet puzzle with the little Blue Tits (or is it Coal Tits?) making their nest warm.

Peggy Sue and the Nutcracker Suite

Peggy Sue loves the Nutcracker story and had fun pretending she was in the ballet today.

She whirled and twirled with the music.

She imagined she was the young girl dreaming of the Nutcracker Prince

Friends are good!

Peggy Sue was delighted that her friend Mary Ellen came to visit today.  They visited Santa and then sat and discussed their Christmas wishes together.

No Will Power!

So I have absolutely no will power whatsoever...although in my defence, I did hold off for three visits before I succumbed and went back for the fourth time.  Of course by this time there was less choice...which in a way was good.  By the third time I went back to see them there were only two Ashlyn dolls left, some Kendall dolls and I think two Emerson dolls.  Of course when I decided I just HAD to have one, there was only one Ashlyn left which made my decision so much easier.

She has a hair net on her hair to keep it tidy.

I like the way these dolls are packaged as they are easy to remove.

She has a pretty little face and I love the smattering of freckles.

Out in the garden she watches our Sheltie try to photobomb the picture!

Waving hello.  Actually this arm was VERY stiff and almost unmovable, so hoping it will loosen up a little over time.

Wearing a little pair of white shoes I had tucked away.

I couldn't wait to knit her a Christmas dress.

All very seasonal now.  I just LOVE her little knees, they are so cute.

I have called her Noelle.  (I know very original for this time of year!)

My group of girls all in their Christmas dresses I have knitted for them.

An extra girl has sneaked into the picture...my Sasha girl Ziva, thought she should join them as well as she too has a hand knitted Christmas dress.

On a Mission.

Peggy Sue set off bright and early this morning.

She had her shopping basket over her arm

When asked where she was going.

The reply was 'On a mission'

Later on she was seen in her room with Little Owen, with a dreamy expression on her face.

Quite mesmerised she was.

It seems she had bought herself a little glowing Christmas tree

That changes colour.

It kept them both amused for hours.

An Elf on the Shelf or a Mouse in the House?

There's a Mouse in the House, this is well known, but strange things can happen and it seems it is true.

That this mouse in the house has become a spy you may see, 

to keep a close eye on you and perhaps even me.

To report back to Santa on who has been good, he'll write in his book those naughty and nice (and it won't be the mice!)

That Mouse in the House may not need to look twice.

So best to behave, not leave it to chance.  

For that Mouse in the House is a crafty wee fellow who can creep around corners, while we are quite unaware...and make his decision with just the one glance.

Peggy Sue builds a Lego Christmas Scene.

Wow look at this Little Owen.  Peggy Sue exclaims.  A Christmas Lego scene for us to do.  Aren't we lucky?

Gosh, lots of pieces...

Will you be able to help me?  She asks.

Of course!  Replies Little Owen.

Little Owen spreads out the instructions

They both pour over them.

Do you think I am doing it right?  Peggy Sue asks.

She checks the instructions.

Yes, so far so good...you just need to find the extra pieces.  Little Owen tells her.

I think this is right?

She checks what she has done with the picture.

Pretty soon it is obvious that they make a great team and progress is being made.

The fireplace is done.  She says.

Oh look I have made a chair.

Do you think it is for Santa?  She asks.

Yes indeed Peggy Sue.  Little Owen replies.

Together they also make a Christmas tree.

A tree for Santa!

Now if I just move the table over here.  Peggy Sue says as she pushes the little table against the wall.

I can put the scene on it!  She admires her handiwork.

Just right.  Little Owen says.

I had such fun doing that, did you?  Peggy Sue asks Little Owen.

Indeed I did.  Little Owen tells Peggy Sue.

They really are the best of friends.
