Freebies - always good!

While looking around a local vintage emporium today I noticed a little chair and table on the ground outside. I asked the man what he was going to do with them and he said he had just pulled them out of the skip to put on the fire he had going, but did I want them, if so I could have them.

Yes please I said, knowing they would be perfect for Xanthe, my little Lati girl.

All that was wrong was the seat was missing a base - easily rectified.

I cut a piece of board to size and covered with a wad of stuffing and some fabric.

Xanthe inspects it...

Perfect size for her and her little friend.

Connory starts work on a house

Connery has been busy today gathering materials available to build his wife a little home.

He shows her what he has managed so far...

and invites her in to inspect his work.

They both sit down at the table to have a cup of warm brew.

Yes with a bit more work this will do nicely they think to themselves.

Connory has been working hard...

Sean has been busy since arriving and managed to source some materials to make a table for the house and a couple of chairs.

Sandra is very pleased with the table and said it is just the right height.

She tries out the chair for size as well and agrees that it too is just the right size to sit at the table.

Thank you Sean for working so hard.

A couple of garden toadstools have also been made and just need their spots painted on.

A Rocking Chair for Percival

While perusing the charity shops the other day I saw a rocking chair made out of clothes pegs.  I didn't buy it but thought I would have a go at making one myself.  Quite a bit of fun indeed.

I initially thought it would be Hitty sized, but actually it is a bit big for Hitty, however Percival thought it would be ideal for him to sit and ponder in.

Oh yes a great thinking and pondering position indeed!

Can I keep it?

Of course you can Percival.
