Out for a walk.

Candid photos are often the best!

I caught these two girls out strolling this morning.

I wonder what they were talking about?

The Lilac Girls and more

Having been tempted by another doll today, and resisting temptation as  no I do not need another one, I decided to pay the ones I do have some attention.

My assortment of red heads dressed in lilac, inspired by the Lilac flowers.

Peggy Sue discovered the pond today and is delighted with it.

She is wondering when there will be some wildlife in the pond...

She seems to be missing her companion Little Owen...I wonder where he is and what he is getting up to?

Continuing with paying attention to my existing doll family, this Gotz Little Sister 'Katie' doll has been wanting some attention for rather a long time now.  She is still currently known by her stock name, but is wondering whether she would prefer something else.

Being the same size as American Girl dolls means she can share their clothes and has chosen this pretty knit dress to wear today.

Hope you are all having a lovely weekend.

Knitting a 'mock' smock dress.

I haven't been doing a lot of knitting lately as I am still without glasses.  I usually knit in the evenings when watching a DVD with DH, and need the trifocals to be able to do so.  However, I decided to attempt a dress I had been wanting to make.

This was the start..

Finished.  A 'mock' smock dress for Saige.

I am pleased with how this turned out and will try and make a smaller one for Peggy Sue.

A mish mash post

Two little Maori boys checking out the wind damage to the garden...fortunately not a lot, just some windfalls and leaves.

The other day I found a little Pippa doll in the CS for 50p she was amongst some little McD barbie dolls, quite a surprise.  She didn't have any clothes but I knew I had a spare set of clothes at home for her.

I finally got round to dressing her.  She just needs shoes now!

I introduced to the other girls (my childhood two and I think my sisters (on the right)

Dancing Tammy (I think her name is) Pippa, my sister's Pippa and the new Pippa.  I didn't realise quite how much the other set of clothes had faded.

Saige has put on an Autumnal outfit I made last year and she is chatting to Kaya.

The girls are hoping to attend a harvest party this week.

I finally got round to making a pair of pink trousers for Camille to go with the pink sweater I made in February 2012.

I think pink is her colour!

Peggy Sue had a little parcel arrive in the post today.

A coat and hat

I bought this set from a friend of mine - it as part of the Sasha Festival 2012 Raffle prize.  I would love to know who made it as it is beautifully made and really suits her.

Some Knitting & Some Sewing

Friday I knitted a little Kimono cardigan hoping that it would be suitable for Kaya to wear over her long sleeve dress on those cooler days.  The pattern had long sleeves so I thought it would be perfect.  However, while knitting I was a bit concerned that the sleeves weren't going to be long enough, despite following the pattern and the rest of the pattern knitting up okay size wise.  I was right.  The sleeves definitely are not long!  The cardigan wasn't at all suitable for Kaya to wear over her dress so I thought I would see how it looked on Saige as she still has her summer dress on.

It fits fine over this, but as you can see the sleeves are a long way short of being long!  I may try again adding more stitches for the sleeves...or I may try another pattern.  I haven't decided yet.

Today I did some sewing.  I have actually cut out five dresses I think it is, to make, but made this first one for Peggy sue

She is waving hello.

I do love this style of dress on her, it fits so well and can also be worn by Sasha which is a bonus.

Peggy Sue has borrowed Marcia's beret which I think looks very sweet on her.

Show & Tell

I realised that I forgot to post the picture of the little 'surprise party dress' that I made for my friend.

This one she didn't know about.

I added a little flower to the dress and the headband.

I then made one for mini Saige.

I've had a little change round...

Bertie, Edith & Betsy are playing

Anne-Marie and Catherine are playing a game of Ludo.

Peggy Sue has been for a walk with her little dog.

It is lovely to have her more actively involved in the day to day things again.

A bit of this and a bit of that

Using up the rest of the 'Menthol' yarn I added white to the skirt to make the latest knit dress.

I quite like this - it is very fresh looking.  I am currently doing the same with some of the blueberry colour I had left over.

During the week little Xanthe went for a walk in the garden.

She especially liked the little violets - them being just her size.

This cheeky fellow has joined the Maori Tribe - soon to be revealed...

Some bits and bobs.

I have enjoyed sending Elisa a few gifts for Rosey and I have equally enjoyed receiving these gifts from Elisa for Peggy Sue.   These are part of the package that was received the other day with the 'school dress and pinafore'.

I do think Peggy Sue is going to be rather delighted with these....glad to see a toothbrush and toothpaste has been included! ;-)

A little mini set about Kit, an American Girl Doll

Cute little cardboard dress ups and cut outs.

A little photo album and notebook.

Thank you Elisa & Rosey.

I knitted a little short sleeve cardigan the other night...I thought I would make it smaller, using smaller needles, but for some reason it ended up larger than I have ever made it!

Still it fits Saige, so not all is lost.
