Secret Santa Gifts - Part Two
Bobby got to open the rest of our Secret Santa swap as (you may remember) Amy opened the other parcel addressed to her a few days before Christmas.
The gift is addressed to everyone, so they will have to share.
Wow, it is their very own mobile phone!
Daniel leans over for a closer look.
Bobby takes it out of its box.
They all seem pretty pleased with it!
Next he hands out the chocolates from the delightful Christmas stocking.
There are plenty of chocolates to go around.
Elle, seems very pleased with hers as she looks at it with wonder. I don't think she has ever had chocolate before.
I am sure they will all be running round very excited after eating all the chocolate as there is even more inside the stocking!
Christmas Doll
Introducing Elle, my Christmas present from my husband (who also named her)
There were quite a few issues with her, putting a slight damper on her arrival, which I am currently taking up with the seller which I am hoping will be addressed, but will discuss later depending on what sort of response I get if I get any!
However, she is lovely and on a whole I am very happy with her. She photographs beautifully.

Decorating...
Peggy Sue has been busy in her room.
Decorating ready for Christmas.
She stands back to look at her work, with her faithful little friend at her side.
Little Owen helps her put some tinsel round the chair back.
Careful you don't fall off Owen!
What's that Owen? The Sailor is coming home again?
Oh no, what am I going to do?
Peggy Sue sits and thinks about what will happen when the Sailor comes home and finds her still in his room!
Hopefully he won't mind and will let us stay. She thinks. We don't make much noise...he may not even notice us!

A complete lack of will power...we couldn't wait until Christmas Day.
Both Amy and I were feeling a bit out of sorts today, so we were a bit 'naughty'.
She looked at me with her big brown eyes and I just thought, how could I refuse?
So I agreed she could open one of the parcels from the Secret Santa Swap on the understanding that it would be one less parcel to open on Christmas day. She seemed okay with that...
Clothes! Perfect as she doesn't have any apart from the outfit she arrived in and the dress I made her.
Not just clothes she informs me, but 'cool' clothes! (or is it Trendy?)
She looks very trendy indeed and they really suit her perfectly.
She poses in front of the Christmas Tree.
She couldn't resist going outside in between showers today.
I just love the pink/violet over the turquoise trousers.
These clothes are just perfect for Amy and we would both like to say a very big thank you to our Secret Santa! Oh and an apology for our complete lack of will power!
Later on I found her just staring at the Christmas tree
She loves the different decorations and wanted to know all about them.
I explained that the boys made the 'stained glass' angel...
...and the Christmas pudding came in a swap I did a couple of years ago.

Peggy Sue gets a new desk.
There have been a few changes in Peggy Sue's bedroom.
She has a nice desk to work at now with....
...a typewriter! She insists she is writing her memoirs...
Actually I think she is writing a Christmas letter.
Little Owen seems to be practising his head stands.
She has a nice little bedside table.
Her set of drawers have moved to the other side of the room beside her desk.
So what do you think Peggy Sue, do you like your desk and typewriter?
Yes I do! Thank you!

Knitting a 'mock' smock dress.
I haven't been doing a lot of knitting lately as I am still without glasses. I usually knit in the evenings when watching a DVD with DH, and need the trifocals to be able to do so. However, I decided to attempt a dress I had been wanting to make.
This was the start..
Finished. A 'mock' smock dress for Saige.
I am pleased with how this turned out and will try and make a smaller one for Peggy Sue.

Peggy Sue reclaims HER bedroom & the arrival of Myrtle!
Peggy Sue is relieved to have 'her' bedroom back now the Sailor has gone back to college. She couldn't wait to set up a little nativity set on her little bedroom table.
I'm surprised Little Owen isn't helping her...I wonder what he was up to? Perhaps he had spied some cream cakes!
She checks that they are all there. A couple of shepherds and their sheep, three wise men bearing gifts and of course the little manger with Mary, Joseph and baby Jesus.
I bought a little curiosity on Evilbay the other day and she arrived today. I bought her because she was listed as having a wooden head, and well wooden dolls interest me a lot and she cost under £5. It turns out her head isn't wooden unfortunately, and yes I am a little disappointed about this as I may not have bid on her if I had known. She has the following written on her back.
She is indeed handmade, but this writing looks so clear and fresh as if it was written yesterday, not 44 years ago. Were people still being giving names like Myrtle in 1969? I would be very surprised! So is this genuine or not I wonder? She is definitely handmade, and very well made.
She had a set of cotton underwear on under he dress.
She is obviously going to be called Myrtle...what else would be suitable really?
She actually has 'real' lashes...although difficult to see in this photo.
