Go on Peggy Sue! Ignore the parents...... I should have done that 50 years ago and just TAKEN THE PONY HOME, WHETHER THEY LIKED IT OR NOT. They only think they know what is best for a child, LOL!
I think she is going to do exactly that! I wonder if she will have to ride bareback for a long time before she has saved enough money for a saddle like I had to, or if she will be able to wheedle her way into getting one sooner?
Sigh! We had a different group of ponies every year, so we wouldn't get too attached to any one in particular, but after 6 weeks in the summer, inevitably, we all mourned the fact that they would be gone soon after. I think we children were used as the safetly test so Uncle Joe could truthfully say they were safe for children to ride as none of us had a broken neck...! J x

DeleteI love the matching "footwear"!
ReplyDeleteYes I didn't really think about it until after I had taken the photo and it made me giggle...the horse must be meant for her!
DeleteI loke your wellies Peggy Sue, a good substitute for riding boots.
ReplyDeleteThese are great wellies....they were National Trust pen/pencil holders I think. Originally joined together I separated them with a knife.
