Preparations
The end of summer is nigh, we must start preparing for harvest and storing goods for Autumn and Winter.
26/30 Peggy Sue & Bertie
26/30
What is Peggy Sue looking at I wonder? She rather looks like she is telling someone off....
Is poor Bertie the recipient? I'm not sure he is, although he really doesn't seem to be dressed appropriately for the weather! Bare feet and a thick sweater? Poor boy could probably do with some new clothes. These were made for him in the winter and then all clothing production for Bertie stopped.
He looks rather sweet and innocent here...
Whereas, this is a Peggy Sue I don't think I have seen before!

Using some vintages fabrics found in the charity shop the other week I made a pair of floral dungarees for Peggy Sue
They also fit Sasha so they can be shared if needed.

Today Peggy Sue thought she would have a go at driving the car!

Helping & Dreaming
Peggy Sue was happy to help out today...
She scrubbed hard polishing the wheels
Until they positively shone!
Balancing on the wall, wearing her new butterfly dungarees.
Enjoying the afternoon sunshine, dreaming and playing

Peggy Sue 10/30
Taking part in this '30 Days One Object' Photographic Challenge is a really fun way to get to know something...in this case Peggy Sue.
I am finding out more about her each day and thanks to some various suggestions from friends, also experimenting with what I clothe her in. I would never have thought to have tried these dungarees on her otherwise - and what fun they are proving.
I think she looks quite sassy and sure of herself.
My little farm girl!
One pattern four different dolls.
I have four small dolls, two by Corolle Les Cheries, one by Paola Reina and one by White Balloon. One of the Les Cheries dolls, a red head called Clara was given to me for Christmas by my Mother in Law and up until a few days ago I hadn't made anything for them (apart from some knitting earlier in the year and last year) I wanted a versatile pattern that would fit at least two of the dolls. I was very pleased to find a pattern that actually fits four different dolls! Although similar in size they do actually have quite different body shapes. Now this sharing of clothes probably wouldn't always work - particularly given the body size of Sasha Toddler, but due to the type of pattern this is, it works really well.

Yes the poor girls could do with some shoes! But they will have to wait. At least they now each have a summer dress.
