A quilt, a bedrooom and some antique fayre finds.

I finished the quilt I was making for Peggy Sue's bed today.  The other beds I have are not suitable for the size of her room unfortunately so we have made do with the one she already has, which is still a nice wooden bed.

It is quite a nice fit being slightly bigger than the other blue squares quilt and fits the bed nicely.  I just need to make some more bedding for the bed now.

Peggy Sue seemed pretty pleased with it.

I think it met with her approval.

She liked the little bevelled mirror on the wall - admiring herself in it.

She did some organising in her room today seeing how different things work together.  A bookcase is needed.  She does have a kind of shelving unit but it really doesn't fit in with the rest of the furniture now.

She has a rest thinking about how things are working out while she strokes the cat.

I'm not sure the teapot and cup are quite right as pretty as they are.

She checks out her drawers...

Some of my clothes can go in here, she thinks.

I see she has found her hot water bottle, nightie and dressing gown.

This morning it was wild wet and windy as well as cold, but I decided I would venture down to the Antique Fayre.  I am so glad I did!  I am delighted with my few finds.

A little Limouge plate which is now gracing Peggy Sue's bedside cabinet, the little bevelled mirror, a little money box - which I think can be used as a pencil box, a wooden seat and a fabulous desk!

This is the desk with the little wooden box on top.

The desk top opens up and it is big enough to sit two girls...so it looks like Edith may soon be joining Peggy Sue in school.

The little box complete with a key to lock it.

The wooden seat....this may be for the teacher...

Peggy Sue tries the desk out for size.

Perfect!  So excited about this.  I am sure Miss Olivia Ottava will be busy reorganising her school room tomorrow before the girls arrive!
