Relieved of the 'grey' wig, Peggy Sue is much happier and is sitting on her rug playing with her little rag doll.
She had been looking at her and thinking of a name. I know I am going to call you Alice.
Do you like your new name, Alice?
While Peggy Sue is busy chatting to Alice, Owen is trying to climb down from the bed.
Peggy Sue is completely unaware that he is approaching, so absorbed in her play with Alice.
What do you think we shall do tomorrow Alice? I hope I don't have to try on any more wigs, it was quite funny, but I do much prefer my own hair.
Much better! We have become accustomed to seeing Peggy Sue in this wig, so any change may be hard to swallow at first. LOL!
ReplyDeleteI really don't think that I can imagine her in anything else. Trouble is this wig is rather old and delicate!
DeleteI saw on Bama's blog that Peggy Sue wants to play cello - this is sort of funny because I am actually a professional cellist, so of course I did notice that American Girl in NYC has a really cool cello set up, and I believe it might fit her decently. There is also a music stand available - and come to think of it Bama there is also a flute for AGs which may well fit Schoenhuts well enough maybe? I do know that the cello looked super nice, and so did the music stand, I have the dolls as recreation away from my profession so I didn't get one, but now I wish I had so that I could put it with my Miss Dolly and see if it would work!
ReplyDeleteI thought AG did a Cello, but most of the US sellers on Ebay won't send to the UK and if they do, the postal charges are silly and then customs add their chunk on as well! It wouldn't be so bad if they would send as a gift and a nominal value.
DeleteI am a clarinettist but unfortunately had an operation for TOS in 2009 that rendered me with chronic nerve pain and unable to play. I have just started playing the cello to see if a completely different playing position etc... would suit me. So far so good. My arm does ache, but more of a 'this is something' new type of ache, not the burning pain I get from the other. So it is really interesting to me that you are a professional cellist. I am loving it. So good to have music back in my life. I played in various groups and orchestras and also taught and had to give it all up.
Sweet, sweet pictures, Lorraine!
