Afternoon tea

Peggy Sue is pleased that the little rails and hooks have finally been put on the dresser so that she can display the plates and hang the cups and milk jug.

The little cupboard underneath is large enough for the plates and teapot.

She enjoyed playing around working out how to display everything.

Such a lovely spring day, and time to enjoy the garden

However, despite the blue sky with the sun shining, it wasn't as warm as the girls thought and Edith asks Peggy Sue if they can go inside.

Peggy Sue agrees it is a good idea.

Shall we have a cup of tea and some strawberry tarts?  Peggy Sue asks Edith

Oh yes please!  Edith replies.  I see Owen is keen.  He is already sitting at the table waiting.

Peggy Sue opens the cupboard and gets out the teapot.

Do you have sugar in your tea?  She asks Edith

Edith has a little think...oh no thank you.  She replies.

The strawberry tarts are on the table...something distracts them and little Owen wriggles out from under Peggy Sue's arm.

Yum, yum! Owen thinks.

Peggy Sue looks in astonishment at the table and discovers the tarts gone.

Oh Owen, you are a greedy little bear, they were for us!

Edith reads some nursery rhymes...

They enjoy a nice afternoon reading their books and chatting like only little girls can.

A lovely portrait of the two of them.

    1. It is cute isn't it? Hubby was quite surprised when he saw these photos and said 'It looks like a real room, where have you got that set up?' Right there on my table I said ;-)

I will write to you about Edith.

Could I ask you where to start reading about Peggy Sue - when she arrived or which month she started her surgery, so I can see her progress from the beginning.

    1. The links to different posts are all in the side panel. Her surgery started here: http://howmanydolls.blogspot.co.uk/2013/01/peggy-sues-hand-surgery-part-one.html

      She arrived in November 2012.

  5. Thank you! She is such a sweetheart and I wanted to read her story from the beginning. As Winnie-the-Pooh says, I like to 'start at the beginning, read through until you come to the end, then stop!' Such a wise old bear...
